Most photographers have a story to tell of their passion for photography, and I truly believe them. My passion goes beyond a love for taking photographs and is deeply rooted in making amazing images for my clients. There are many layers to creating images that move people and warm their hearts when they view a photograph. Though it begins with a camera & lens, each photograph is the product of a deep understanding of lighting, composition, emotion, and many other details that are a part of the photographic process. I want you to feel my photographs are the best images you’ve ever had taken. The time we spend together making images will be fun and exciting too. Many clients express how much they enjoyed the experience before they’ve even viewed the images from a shoot.
I love my tools too. Camera bodies, lenses, strobes, studio lights, wireless remotes, reflectors… My appetite for gear is never satisfied, and I continue adding equipment and tools to make sure I can deliver the very best end product.
After our photography session, I begin the process of editing and enhancing every image for you. I am a talented computer artist who puts a personal stamp on every photograph taken. My background in the photo industry spans years. I worked in the largest commercial photo lab in the US and also spent years as a studio rep in commercial photography. That experience has positively influenced my approach to photography and has become embedded in my methods of editing & enhancing images.
What about when I’m not behind the camera or on my Mac? I’ve been married 16 years to my beautiful wife Ann, and we have the most amazing eight-year-old daughter who is full of joy and excitement. Music is my second love after photography. I’m a guitarist who loves picking up an acoustic and playing a Jack Johnson song or two. My family loves to travel, take Sunday drives with coffee in hand, and of course participate in the many activities that an eight-year-old’s life requires. I love the expression “Life Is Good!” because I truly feel my life is.
Here’s to hoping to have an opportunity to make amazing photographic images with you.
